In the jury room the jury had some intense days going through around 4000 entries during the Cannes Lions 2017. The week gave a lot of inspiration and amazing contributions from all over the world. The first thinning of the nominees ended on the Shortlist.
Shortlist is the first step towards maybe reaching Bronze, Silver and Gold –or Grand Prix for the best ever.

A colourful summer
In summer the table is set informally with fanciful designs, floral textiles, pastels and a variety of porcelain and glass. Estrid Ericson, Svenskt Tenn’s founder, is very fond of shells and for the summer of 2017, designer Sara Söderberg created a lovely scallop shell variant made from porcelain.

Shadow play by Harri Koskinen
Collaborates with Svenskt Tenn
Svenskt Tenn now introduces two new lighting items designed by Harri Koskinen. Now added to the range are a floor and table lamp, where the shades resemble monstera foliage. Making their debut in the shadow play exhibition, they’re displayed with other svenskt tenn items and koskinen-designed furniture, upholstered with classic Josef Frank textiles.

Lessebo is a paper manufacturer that’s been making paper by hand, in an almost unchanged process, for over 300 years.
Planeta will be collaborating with them on their rebranding and development for an international market.
Heritage, tradition and craftsmanship will be managed and renewed in a commercial offering across new markets in Europe, the United States and potentially Asian countries.

Green Data Hubs
Data centres consume large amounts of energy and the global IT market currently accounts for the same amount of greenhouse gas emissions as the entire airline industry.
Fortum Värme will be collabrotaing with Stockholm Stad, Ellevio and Stokab in creating an innovation for sustainable heat recovery for data centers in Stockholm.
Planeta are very proud to be creating the brand platform and communication for this important project.

Svenskt Tenn – New website signed Planeta Design
Today Svenskt Tenn launches its new website with focus on content and e-commerce. Planeta Design got the considerable task of developing a digital world to reflect the store on Strandvägen 5.
“We wanted to create a relevant platform by building a digital room that can be easily re-organised and developed. Together with Svenskt Tenn, we’ve created a world where inspiration, brand and product communication goes hand in hand”

The goal has been to create a room for interaction, where visitors can take part of Svenskt Tenns world and extend the stories of exhibitions, highlighting the ongoing projects, initiatives and more.
Svenskttenn.se has become an inspirational online store with a pace and flow that harmonise with the brand and todays digital behavior.

Dirty Linen and Whyred
Insomnia is a collaboration between the fashion brand Whyred and bed linen brand Dirty Linen. Fusing Whyred’s play on conventions and bold graphic prints with Dirty Linen’s stylish, tongue-in-cheek approach has created a unique limited edition bed linen collection.
The collection consists of printed duvet cover sets and hand-made bedspreads, crafted by using innovative techniques.

As if by chance
For the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Svenskt Tenn will be presenting their exhibition “As if by chance” a contemporary room setting inspired by Josef Frank´s accidentalism.
The people behind it are architects Mikael Bergquist and Olof Michélsen. The exhibition opens on the 8th of February and can be seen at Svenskt Tenns store at Strandvägen 5.
Planeta design are proud to be part of this unique exhibition and we’ll be creating the communication which is, of course, influenced by accidentalism.

Bon voyage again!
It feels like only yesterday that we got her back from judging the Design category in Cannes Lion, and now she’s leaving us again. This time she will be going to Eurobest as the Jury President of the Design category.
We will of course miss her, but wish her the best of luck in Antwerpen Sandra, (mi)auf Wiedersehen!

This is the world No. 1 of tennis balls
We’ve recently developed the branding and packaging for RS Tennis, the brand by renowned Swedish tennis player Robin Söderling.
A close collaboration with RS Tennis resulted in a product portfolio development, assortment strategy, product sampling and sourcing. And of course, a fresh addition to sports shops all over Europe!

Same tasteful coffee – New lovely look
Our original assignment was to re-design Coop’s own line of coffee. One of the presented design concepts received very high ratings from the test group, so in order to communicate directly towards that target group, two of the products got a brand new packaging and ended up in a segment of their own.
Needless to say, it’s now our favourite brew, so the next time you’re visiting, come a have a coffee with us!
